a wonderful visit!!!!

Look who has come to the farm for a visit!!!! That's Miss Ginger (service puppy number two) She and Pastor Jane came to speak at the Women's Fellowship gathering that took place here......
What a funny girl!!! Pastor Jane said that as she got closer to the farm, Ginger got more and more excited. And when they arrived she jumped out of the car and ran right to see me. She knew exactly where she was and all day long the smile on her face looked just like this. Just goes to prove that the puppies we raise never really forget their beginnings....
But, not to be over looked... General was here as well with Pastor Ineke.... As the hostess of this month's meeting, I had asked both Pastor Jane and Pastor Ineke to come and do a talk  on their ministry dogs.... and of course to bring the dogs along.....
I also invited Kathleen and Brutus to attend, just knowing that the ladies would enjoy meeting all the dogs....
My house was full... (one of the biggest meetings I have to say) I guess everyone (at least with this group) loves dogs and they were happy to hear the Pastors speak and learn about the work that they do with their dogs.....
Some of the ladies grabbed the "outdoor seating" on the new deck.... and with the french doors opening into the house, it was easy for everyone to enjoy the good eats and the program.... That's Pastor Ineke there with General at her feet....

Good food along with the program, made for a very happy time together......
And as I have said many times before, a full house always makes me the most happy...

Course having some special time with Ginger was just the topping of the day!!!!!

the big yellow bus...

In the absolute blink of the eye... the time has come!!!! When she was very little and we were going to meet Daddy some fall mornings, as we ate breakfast we watched for the big yellow buses.. and we promised Abi that "one day you'll be riding one of the buses".. and here it is... the "one day".... and it has come just way too fast!!!!

Course, Abi didn't think it was "so fast" and she is more than ready to head off to school.... it's all begun!!!!
So, nothing doing... Papa and I had to be there to watch the first time on the bus!!! Posing for these photos was hard, because this little gal wanted to be certain that the bus was not missed.....
But, we ALWAYS have to stop for photos!!!!
The stop is just a short walk from the house... it will be nice for Abi and Sadie to have this time together each morning before school.. and I'm even planning on popping down once in a while to walk with them.....
At the stop, someone is very excited about the days and adventures ahead.... I'm glad she is so happy to go... this is an important time for the years ahead....
and here it comes....... the day is truly here.....
Without a worry in the world, Abi lines up with the others and hops right on....
Baby asks for one last wave goodbye (but she wants to go)
Up and on.........................
doors close, and the future has begun...

We have a school girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
