homecoming

Now that Nate is out of the military, and we no longer make our runs down to Camp LeJeune, it's easy for me to forget that we still have many (MANY) military folks who are serving in still dangerous areas of the world. I try not to forget, and every so often, a "reminder" comes back into our lives that -- well, remind us!!!

So, how did you welcome home a small town, local "boy" who has been serving away from home for over a year!!!

Lots of lights and sirens of course!!!

Wayne, a firefighter from town, and a "small town local boy" arrived home on Tuesday. Ed thought it would be nice to give him a "little" welcome, so he sent a firetruck out to greet him. Course, the way Ed does things.. it really meant - one firetruck met them "there" and another was waiting "there", and then a neighboring town met them "there" and before we knew it, we even had the local police and sheriff departments joining in the parade.

Along with that little parade, a big crowd of folks waiting to add to the welcome and I think out local hero was a bit overwhelmed with all the attention....

is there anything better in the world than a "welcome back hug!!!!"

and a line of people wanting to share those hugs....

and let's add just one more element to the celebration... let's get the TV people to send out cameras and put a story on the news!!!!

Welcome Home Wayne!!! and we praise the Good Lord for your safe return!!!!and continue our prays for those who are still away, that all may have such reunions....
