4th of July weekend.....

In a blink of an eye...its the 4th of July. And if the summer goes as quick as the spring has...then " oh my!!!" Summer is back at the lake and the weekend is going to be a beauty. We are planning cookout, swimming and the joy of all being together beside the lake

All the camps are "alive" once again and your summer neighbors are back. We once were the kids at camp...the we were the parents at camp..and now here we are...the grandparents at camp...all I see is the kids are getting older..the brand's getting bigger, but I haven't changed one bit ( ha..ha)
Reagan has big plans that include trucks....

And lots of swims with Dad....after Banjo gets his swim in...

It was warm enough that even Hunter and Camille got in for a little swim

And Charlie never a chance to swim. He and Trevor swam just to swim...they both love the water

Gassy not so brave but she will get her feet wet and get a drink of the water.

This is Calvin's first summer at camp...I hope the brand's will come to love it as much as the generations before them.  They are the 4th generation of our family to come and enjoy it.

Number one rule...no going down the steps to the lake without your swimmies...

All this outside she makes you sleepy.....

Even for puppy dogs....

Mom and Dad came up for the day and have a cookout with the family...

I love having everyone here....good eats, good company and swim time..what could be better.

Robbie and Dom took Reagan to look for frogs. They always loved doing this when they were little. They would play with the doggies for the day and then their mom had them take the doggies back to their homes.
Charlie was as interested in the doggies as much as Reagan was...

With one minor mishap when Charlie tried to pick one up. Daddy to the rescue and the froggie was not hurt...
Robbie, Carol, Dom and Reagan deep in conversation about froggies
Thank you froggie for your afternoon of entertainment...
Hunter....

Our little cooker..I can't even think of how many evening fires we have had in it. Or how many marshmallows we have toasted...

And the day comes to a close. The family heads home...kass didn't stay over this  year...it was a lot packing up the kids,,especially with Calvin being so little. But in the summers ahead there should be plenty of overnights to look forward to.
The morning brought the annual boat parade. Ed and I watched it with the puppy dogs....

We enjoyed a quiet day at camp and then in the evening headed down to the ocean. We met up with the family at the goldenrod for dinner and ice cream sundeas,
I brought Logan along with us, she was a very good girl and went right under the table and waited, like she should. I won't have her too much longer,,,her time is speeding by too.

Sundea on the 4th.....
We walked around the beach..poked into the shops and went to the playground...perfect way to end the holiday

Tomorrow everyone is back to work. But we have a big chunk of summer left to enjoy and all kinds of plans ahead.
